Nature of the intelligence

The scores, rankings, signals, and narratives produced by Dana House are calibrated assessments based on publicly available data. They are informational outputs intended to support research and due diligence. They are not financial advice, legal advice, investment recommendations, or endorsements of any charitable organisation.

You should conduct your own due diligence before making any funding, donation, or allocation decision. Dana House does not warrant that any charity described or scored on the platform is suitable for any particular donor, funder, or purpose.

Accuracy and data lag

The dataset is built from public registers including the Charity Commission England and Wales, OSCR, and CCNI. These registers may contain errors, omissions, or outdated information. Annual accounts and returns are filed periodically (typically annually), meaning financial data may be up to 18 months old at the time of display.

Scores are refreshed quarterly. Between refreshes, a charity's circumstances may have changed materially. Dana House makes no representation that scores reflect the current real-world state of any organisation.

Charity scores are not endorsements

A high score on any pillar does not constitute an endorsement by Dana House of that charity or its work. A low score does not imply criticism, malpractice, or unfitness. Scores are derived from publicly available signals that may incompletely represent an organisation's work, especially for smaller or less-documented charities.

Research content

Sector intelligence reports and editorial content published on the Dana House Research surface represent the analytical views of Dana House based on data available at the time of writing. They do not represent the views of the charities discussed, the Charity Commission, OSCR, CCNI, or any other regulatory body.

Research content is provided for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as the sole basis for any funding or allocation decision.

No guarantee of completeness

The scored dataset covers approximately 49,000+ charities as of the current production snapshot. Many registered UK charities do not appear in the scored dataset due to insufficient public evidence. Absence from the scored dataset does not imply negative assessment; it indicates insufficient public data for calibrated scoring at the time of the last snapshot.

Third-party content

Where Dana House surfaces information from charity websites, annual reports, or other third-party sources, this content remains the responsibility of the originating organisation. Dana House does not verify the accuracy of third-party claims beyond what is assessable from public records.
